Original overall fine condition. The original case color has aged to a nice smooth brown patina. There are a few traces of case color on the inside of the block. It has nice clear markings. It has a few small bumps on the top of the block (see pictures). The screw threads are in excellent condition. The block should make a great shooter. It will fit all Springfield 45-70 Model 1873, 1879, 1884, 1888 Carbines Rifles & Cadets.
