Japanese sword wakizashi in mountings.       The blade is signed "Taira Moritsugu saku 平盛次作", shinogi-zukuri shape with Sanskrit engraving, muromachi period ca.1550 era made blade.        The blade is in old full polish, no rust, no stain and in mint condition.         The temper line is attractive gunome-choji temper pattern throughout the blade and has deep temper at the point.      The forging grain is tight itame-hada, no openings, no blister and no forging flaws.     There is no bend, no nick, no crack and cutting edge is sharp.      The scabbard is urushi lacquered wood scabbard, no dents, no crack and in good condition.    The handle is tight fit, leather tsukaito wrapping is no cut, no loose and in good condition.   Tsuba is mokko shape gold, silver inlay iron tsuba with nice patina.     It measures 18+1/8" cutting edge, 1+1/16" width, 4.5 mm thickness at the notch and 26+1/2" in mountings
