On offer is a pair of WW2 Wehrmacht 10x50 Military Issue Binoculars.
They were made for the German Army by the firm of Carl Zeiss at their factory in Jena.
The serial number is 2163661 and H/6400.
The binoculars date from the early war period, as they still have the engraved maker's name.
(1939-1941).
As the war progressed, manufacturer's codes were used instead of identifying the maker.
The binoculars have a tiny blue dot, which indicates that they are "KF" (Kalter Fest).
This means that they have been treated with a cold resistant lubricant, for use in areas with extreme winter conditions, such as the Russian front.
The optics on these binoculars are excellent, and they could still be used for hunting, bush walking, mountain climbing, etc.
The binoculars have a Reticle (measurement grid) in the right side optics, which would have been used for calculating the distance to enemy targets.

Attached to the binoculars are the original leather strap, and original leather lens protective cover.
There is a Waffenamt punch mark of a German eagle in the middle of the lens protective cover.
All in all, a nice example of a genuine WW2 pair of German Military Issue "Dienstglas" Binoculars.
It will make an excellent addition to your collection.
